Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is central to a Jedi's life. So, you might say that we are encouraged to love.

The Jedi Temple — Expectations

On the server

Jedi Order members on the clan server(s) are expected to try to be as Jedi-like as possible. When a Jedi enters the server, a formal greeting is expected, such as "Hello Master Windu." When somebody leaves the server, any good-bye will do, so long as all due respect is shown; often, a simple "May the Force be with you" could be enough. Jedi are expected to follow (at minimum) informal duel etiquette, but formal duel etiquette is further welcomed.

Being a Jedi is known to be a life of sacrifice; Jedi are expected to accept this and its accompaniment. Possession and attachment are both forbidden by the Ten Commandments of the Jedi Order. A true Jedi would be in-different to any mod placed on the server that is made with as high quality as any other used; a Jedi should not see reason to favor one particular server setting over another due to such features that are added or missing, such as a grappling hook. The Jedi Order considers the overuse of features such as teleportation, the grappling hook, the jetpack, different features for lightsaber combat, and other similar liesure-enhancement features to be of the Dark Side, because the greed of having those features and the belonging of them lead inevitably to suffering, both internal and external.

Jedi are expected to train constantly on the server, except on Saturdays, a day of recreation and study. Any lack of focus should meet immediate discipline by higher ranking members; you have fun through the weekly tournaments, where skill is achieved prior through hard work The harder you work when we're not having any particular event, the more fun you're guaranteed to have in the big in-clan and clan-versus-clan tournaments.

Within the clan

Jedi types are expected to take care of their respective responsibilities, outlined on the Rules and Regulations page, often enough to warrant an active role in the clan. Jedi who do not do as they are expected may be noticed by a Jedi Council and considered for demotion or removal from the clan. This is also true of Jedi ranks, who may have particular duties, such as Jedi Padawans listening to and learning from their masters.

Jedi are expected to accept and be part of their respective ranks. It would not be the Jedi way to seek higher rankings simply for the safe of being at a higher rank or having the administrative powers associated with it. Jedi should seek more knowledge, self-discipline, and strength with the Force, and in attaining these, one ascends in rank.

All Jedi are expected to never tolerate anything that they view as violations of the Ten Commandments of the Jedi Order. While the Jedi Code is an idealistic goal for which to infinitely strive, while understanding that it is impossible to follow literally, the Ten Commandments are always feasible. True love is intolerance, for you do not truly love your neighbors and your enemies if you tolerate their rule-breaking.
