The Jedi Temple — Become a Jedi

The Jedi Order {J} believes that it is important to encourage and regulate clan activity; joining the Jedi Order is a task requiring the utmost dedication and the most serious mind of a Jedi. The Jedi Council watches your every action including, but not limited to, your server behavior, forum behavior, personality, temperament, and maturity. The Jedi Order accepts members who present themselves properly on the forum (completely relevant, useful, regular posts), properly on the server (follows the server rules without faulter, encourages other server guests to do the same), who present a controlled, disciplined, intelligent, integral mind and personality, who has the longest of tempers (adhere to the Jedi Code as much as possible for the untrained), and who has a mature mind.

Joining Procedure

  1. By reading this procedure, the rest of the website, and especially the server rules, you have taken your first step toward becoming a Jedi.
  2. Register on the forum with an appropriate name (your game name).
  3. Upon entering the Jedi Temple Forum your first stop should be The Gateway. It is the entranceway to the forum and meeting other forum members. Here you must make a post requesting a watch. The High Council account on the forum will approve your watch request and (a) member(s) will immediately begin watching closely you on the server and on the forum.
  4. Get active on the forum, and be on the server everyday for the week or more that you are on watch. A week's watch is minimum.
  5. Upon the conclusion of your probation, another reply will be made to the topic stating your successes if any, failures if any, and the result of the vote taken on your acceptance into the clan. If the entire Council agrees to your acceptance, you will be an unranked member of the Jedi Order (dubbed a "youngling"). If any Council members do not approve of your acceptance, you will be asked to try again in a month's time. Do not delete your introduction topic; it is imperative that we keep those records so that we can see the dates at which posts were made.
  6. If you have made it this far, congratulations! But this is not a time for celebration; your training begins now. You as a youngling are to be on the server for around three days a week every week in all of the months of the year so that our Masters may train you in the ways of the Force. If you for any reason cannot play this much, please send a Private Message to a Councillor. You will be added to the "Idle" list. Keep in mind that this gives you a higher potential to be removed from the Jedi Order due to apparent inactivity.

Recommendations for Hopefuls

If you wish to join the Jedi Order, we have the following recommendations for you to help you along your way.

Follow the Jedi Code. Use the Jedi Code page to help you understand it.
Act responsibly; try even yourself to maintain order on the server.
Fight with respect for other players; use informal duel etiquette outlined elsewhere. Don't overuse any "special" moves.
Make not any persistent requests.
Use skins, names, Force powers, and manner of speech that symbolize who you are.
Avoid angry, fearful, frustrated, or hateful speech, actions, and attitudes. Also don't use things that symbolize hate, such as darkly-colored names or red lightsabers.
Talk on the forums often, but keep posts relevant to both the original topic and to what is being said at the time.
Be completely honest. There is no more important trait of character.
